Of all the fly patterns an angler uses, they should be getting up close and personal with scuds, Scuds are in virtually all tailwater rivers and Scuds can make up to 20% of a fish’s diet.

There are about 90 species of scuds in North America that vary in color and sizes which is why It’s wise to have multiple colors and sizes in your fly box.
